FULL AND HALF DAY AVAILABLE
BACKWATER AND NEARSHORE
Each and every time you take us out you never fail to find fish. I also enjoy learning from you and your knowledge of fishing. Looking forward to another trip the next time down!
We had a great time fishing with you. I have taken guided fishing trips all over and this one by far was the best. We caught a ton of quality fish and you were very professional yet personal. I do believe we had 8 to 10 triples on during our trip. If we didn't have a triple it was because one of us was in rebating or changing a hook. Honest to God we estimated we caught 70 to 80 fish. A lot of the redfish we caught were between 26 to 33 inches. Our arms were getting sore from fighting fish.

Captain Collin Schmidt, MissJiff Charters, is THE fishing guide to call for a great outing of fishing in the Bradenton/Anna Maria Island area. We’ve been out with Collin twice so far. First, tarpon fishing. With my wife and I being newbies, we each brought to boat side our first tarpons (Big ‘ems) and hooking another 3 between the 2 of us. Awesome time from dipping crabs to hunting and then landing our first tarpons. Collin is friendly, personable and unbelievably knowledgeable. You won’t find some of these attributes in fishing guides, let alone all three. Our second outing was backwater for redfish and snook. Another great outing, catching many fish with my son (14) catching his first 3 snooks! Different type of trip, but same great time and professionalism. Most impressive to me though (granted I loved catching the fish) was the first outing we had scheduled with Collin he called me the day before and told me the conditions were likely to be bad for catching fish, as well as a rough time on the water, and recommended we cancel/reschedule. For a guy that makes money only when he goes out, that was particularly impressive. We will definitely be going out with Collin many more times and based on our personal experiences I recommend him without reservation as a guide to anyone who wants to go fishing… and catch fish!
